The Baratza Maestro already has an excellent reputation for being one of the finest general purpose coffee grinders on the market. Still, the designers at Baratza decided they could make some improvements to the Maestro for those folks who intend on using a Baratza grinder for grinding beans for espresso and Turkish coffee or need much coarser grounds for French press coffee makers. Enter the Baratza Maestro Plus. The new sculpted metal base and the monochromatic enclosure give this new grinder a bold, distinctive look. The base and additional improvements contribute to more than doubling the weight over the original Maestro to 7.5 lbs. The additional weight gives the Maestro Plus a rock-solid feel with increased stability. The Maestro Plus is built with conical burrs that can produce the perfect grind for any style of coffee from drip coffee to French Press. The careful calibration of the burrs at the manufacturer ensures a full range of grind settings, 40 steps in all. New graphics on the timer switch and the grind adjustment make this grinder easy to use. Plus, the burrs are powered by the heavy-duty 240 watt motor, ensuring a fast grind. The Maestro Plus also has a special feature for grinding for espresso. A pulse button on the front of the machine will allow you to manually start and stop grinding, so you can control exactly how much coffee will be dispensed into your portafilter.
