Although Cuisinart® has had a model called the Grind & Brew™ for some time, they have redesigned and greatly improved this new version. It now sports a new Italian design with subtle curves that creates the perfect look for today's gourmet kitchen. Among low cost combination grinder and coffee makers on the market, we would have to say the new Grind & Brew is worthy of your attention. This version of the Grind & Brew is virtually the same as the black and white versions, but this one features a double-wall stainless steel thermal carafe and stainless steel housing (vs. glass carafe and plastic housing).

How easy is it to have wonderful tasting coffee derived from freshly ground coffee beans? With the Grind & Brew Thermal it's easy. Simply place your favorite coffee beans into the coffee bean hoper, close the lid, and turn on the power. The grinder will immediately begin grinding the beans to the perfect consistency, then it will automatically dispense the grounds into the coffee basket. Brewing begins shortly thereafter. That's it. Convenience, great tasting coffee without the mess, and all of this in one compact coffee maker. If you wish to use pre-ground coffee instead of whole coffee beans, you may disable the automatic grinder function at the press of a button.

We tested the Grind & Brew and felt that for the money, its performance, quality, and price were up to par. Unlike many coffee maker and grinder combos, the new Cuisinart Grind & Brew is the easiest to clean and maintain. We like the fact the entire coffee grinding chamber and lid easily lifts from the top of the coffee maker and that it can be placed in the dishwasher. Removal and replacement of this component could not be easier and faster.

One important feature that most coffee makers lack is adequate water dispersion over the coffee grounds. The showerhead In the Grind & Brew has been designed so water is evenly dispersed over all of the grounds in the coffee basket. The result is better flavor, better temperature of brewed coffee, and no wasted coffee grounds.
