Espresso Machine |
|
You can brew pods or ground coffee on the Caffe Nero – it includes 2 portafilters for single/pod and double shots. The espresso’s stainless steel boiler automatically self-primes, cutting down on preparation time, and has a maximum pressure of 15 bars. You control the espresso machine by turning the left knob to your desired function – to brew, just add coffee to the portafilter and tamp down, insert the portafilter into the group head, and turn the knob to the espresso/hot water position. Espresso will begin dispensing into your waiting cup, so just turn the knob back to the “off” position when you have your desired amount. |

Coffee Machine |

Program your Caffe Nero up to 24 hours in advance, and wake up in the morning to the smell of fresh coffee. The drip coffee control panel includes a digital clock, buttons for on/off, programming, time set, and 1-5 cup option. This 1-5 cup option ensures that your coffee is heated properly, even when you’re brewing small amounts. The drip coffee glass carafe rests on a non-stick warming plate, keeping your coffee warm, and an Accuflavor dial allows you to adjust the intensity of your coffee. In case you want to pour out a cup before brewing is completed, the Drink Interrupt System allows you to do just that. |

Foaming and Steaming |
|
The patented cappuccino system frother allows you to foam and steam milk with ease. Turn the espresso knob to the steam position, and then open the steam knob located on the side of the machine once the Caffe Nero is at steaming temperature. Remember to wipe down the steam wand with a damp cloth after you finish steaming to prevent milk residue buildup. |

Hot Water Dispenser |

The steam wand also functions as a hot water dispenser. Turn the espresso knob to the espresso/hot water position, and open the steam knob to dispense hot water – perfect for tea, an americano, or hot cocoa. |

Removable Water Tanks |
|
To make refilling the water tanks easy, Delonghi designed them to pull out easily from the back of the machine. The espresso water reservoir holds about 42 oz of water, while the drip coffee water reservoir holds 50 oz of water. An included filter helps keep your drip coffee tasting its best. |

Easy Cleaning |
|
To keep your countertops clean, the removable drip tray located under the portafilter catches any drips and spills. The coffee carafe features an anti-drip design and a large handle for easy pouring. You can clean the filter holder cup, filters, drip tray, and removable water tanks just by rinsing them thoroughly, while the carafe should be cleaned by hand with hot, soapy water. A more intensive cleaning process, to be undertaken once every 300 brews, is detailed in your instruction manual. |
