The Espressione Café Retro is sure to turn heads with its vintage design and colorful steel housing. The Café Retro features a large aluminum boiler that gives you plenty of power for steaming and frothing. An easy-to-read pressure gauge informs you of the pressure status, while two indicator lights notify you when the machine has reached brewing temperature and when the machine is ready to steam. An oversized water reservoir provides you with the ability to brew almost endlessly and a manual lever controls the steam and hot water. The designers at Espressione also added a special frothing wand called the “Maxi Cappuccino Wand” that is adjustable to accommodate virtually any sized cup or frothing pitcher. Ground Coffee & Pod Portafilters - The Espressione Café Retro has two chrome plated brass portafilter handles – one for ground coffee and one for use with pre-packaged ESE espresso pods. The pressurized 58 mm aluminum portafilter, used for brewing ground coffee, has both single and double-shot filter baskets.

Large Boiler - The Italian designers at Espressione included a 24 ounce, corrosion resistant, aluminum boiler on this quality machine. And because of its design, the aluminum boiler heats-up quickly and retains heat extremely well.

Easy to Use Controls - Equipped with two toggle switches and a manual lever, the Café Retro is easy to operate. One toggle switch controls brewing; the other alternates control between the steam wand and the hot water dispenser. There are also two lights on the front of the machine that notify you when the steam wand is operational and when the boiler has reached brewing temperature. The lever on the right side of the machine opens the steam valve, allowing you to release steam or hot water.

Cup Warmer - The passively heated cup warmer on the Café Retro warms up to six cups within its metal rails. Heating cups is an essential part of enjoying delicious espresso; cold cups immediately suck the heat out of espresso.

Hot Water Dispenser and Steam Wand - Steaming milk is a cinch. Just immerse the Maxi Cappuccino frothing wand directly into the milk pitcher, pull the lever and you will have frothed milk for lattes and cappuccinos in seconds. The same lever is used for dispensing hot water for tea, hot chocolate or café Americanos.

Water Reservoir - The removable clear plastic 30-ounce reservoir has clear markings for easy filling. It is removable from the back of the machine.

Temperature Gauge - With its front-mounted temperature gauge, the Café Retro allows you to monitor brewing and steaming temperatures.

Accessories - 2 portafilter handles (1 ground coffee and 1 pod), single and double shot filter baskets, a measuring scoop and plastic tamper and a detailed instruction manual.

Housing Materials - Constructed of solid steel and ABS plastic, the Café Retro is a sturdy machine. It also has a colorful powder coat finish.
