Move over, portafilters. With the Espressione Complete Coffee System, it is easy to brew using pods or ground coffee without a traditional portafilter. Instead, when you lift up the handle the rounded group head drops down, allowing you to insert your coffee grounds or pod into the filter basket. The 15-bar pump works hard to ensure you’ll be enjoying your espresso moments later.

Brewing System - The Espressione Complete Coffee System offers 3 different filters so you can easily brew a single shot, a double shot, or using pods. On the front of the machine is a large handle above the cup icon. By pulling up on this handle, the group head drops down like a jaw. To brew, choose the appropriate filter basket and insert it into the open group head. Place the coffee in the filter basket, close the handle, and after the indicator light turns green, press the “brew” button to dispense espresso into your waiting cup. Pressing the brew button again stops the flow of coffee, giving you control over brewing time.

Controls - When your machine is on and heating, the coffee cup indicator light is red, and when the machine is ready to brew or steam, it glows green. The rest of the controls are just as simple. To have the boiler heat up to steam temperature, turn the steam knob located on the side. On the bottom right side of the machine you can find the on/off button and the brew button.

Pods or Ground - Espresso pods are single servings of measured, ground, and tamped espresso. They come in many different varieties and cut down on the amount of work and mess that can accumulate when you are grinding and tamping on your own. However, some people prefer brewing with regular ground coffee, which allows for more control over the fineness of the grind, tamping pressure, and grams of espresso per shot. With the Espressione Complete Coffee System, the choice is yours.

Frothing and Steaming Milk - A Jet Milk Frother with a stainless steel tip lets even the newest cappuccino drinker learn how to froth and steam with ease. Turn the steam knob, and once the boiler is heated to the correct temperature, steam will begin exiting the wand.

Hot Water Dispenser - The Espressione Complete Coffee’s hot water dispenser comes in handy for tea, hot cocoa, or a café americano. To produce hot water, wait until the machine reaches brewing temperature. Then press the brew button, and immediately turn the steam knob – hot water will begin dispensing immediately.

Water Reservoir - The 50 oz removable water reservoir should be washed regularly with detergent to keep your coffee tasting fresh. Located in the back of the machine, be sure to wash it by hand as it is not dishwasher safe.

Drip Tray and Grate - The metal drip tray and grate catch any drips and spills you might have while brewing, protecting your counter space from getting dirty. They are removable for easy cleaning – simply empty out the drip tray when it fills, and clean the drip tray and grate with water and an espresso machine cleaner.
