Control Panel |

The control panel on the X5 features heavy duty, retro style push-button switches. The face of the machine is adorned with a working clock that really sets off the looks of the X5 and will help you measure the extraction time of your shots. Indicator lights for power and temperature are also provided. A decorative and oversized steam control knob rounds the right side of the machine.
The button on top controls the espresso brewing function. When pushed, the pump will start, which will infuse water through the coffee grounds to make espresso. When the desired amount of espresso has been dispensed, push the button again to stop brewing. The steam activation button is located just below the brew button. When pressed, the boiler will heat up to steam temperature for making foam for lattes or cappuccino. A temperature light indicates when the boiler is at the proper operating temperature for either brewing espresso or frothing milk. To release steam from the steam wand, simply turn the steam knob on the right side of the machine. |

If cappuccino, mochas, or café lattes are your desire, you can count on the X5 to produce an abundance of steam. The stainless steel steam wand is equipped with a frothing tip that helps ensure rich foam, even if you are a novice. The steam wand also swivels to accommodate a 12 or 20 oz. milk-frothing pitcher. To release steam from the machine, simply turn the steam control knob on the right side of the machine. |

Removable Water Reservoir |

The heavy gauge plastic 48 oz. water reservoir can be removed from the rear of the machine for refilling or cleaning. |

Cup Warmer |
|
The top of the X5 doubles as a warming area for espresso and cappuccino cups. Warm espresso cups are essential for great tasting espresso. |

Removable Drip & Cup Tray |
|
The drip tray is made of durable plastic and can be removed for easy cleaning. The cup tray is made of polished stainless steel, and can be easily separated from the drip tray for cleaning. |

Instant Hot Water Dispensing |
|
The X5 delivers instant hot water through the steam wand just by turning the steam knob during normal standby (brewing) mode and activating the brew switch. This is useful for making tea, Americano, and other hot beverages. |

Large Boiler |
|
The X5 features a large brass boiler that heats quickly and maintains temperature stability. Brass also offers a longer lifespan as it is less prone to scaling or corrosion. Integral Safety System The boiler heating element features a thermal fuse that provides burnout protection if the boiler is operated dry or runs out of water. |

Powerful Pump |
|
The 15 BAR, self-priming pressure pump will provide more than enough pressure to make excellent espresso topped with thick crema. |

Heavy Duty Portafilters |
|
The portafilters are made of heavy cast brass covered with chrome plating. One portafilter for ground coffee and one for espresso pods are provided with the machine. A single and double shot stainless steel standard filter basket is also included. The special espresso pod portafilter provides superior results with almost any standard pod. The pods are inserted in place of coffee grounds. There is NO coffee grinding and no mess. Just convenient and great tasting espresso! When you are finished brewing the espresso, simply remove and discard the espresso pod. |
