The X1 Trio features quality brewing components and steel housing for the perfect balance of style and durability. Designed by Italian architect Luca Trazzi, the X1 Trio has a bold, attractive look that continues to create a buzz in the espresso world. Perhaps the thing that is more buzz worthy than the machine’s colorful, molded exterior is a portafilter and group head designed exclusively for brewing with Easy Serve Espresso (ESE) pods. Using pods takes away the guesswork from brewing espresso, so you don’t have to grind, tamp or clean up loose coffee grounds—just throw them away without any added mess on your counter.

Exclusive Pod Brewing |

The FrancisFrancis! X1 Trio is exclusively for use with E.S.E. pods, with a specially designed brew group to deliver the best extraction possible. With E.S.E. pods, you don’t have to worry about grinding, measuring or tamping ground espresso every time you brew. And, since the X1 Trio is custom-made for pod use, it doesn’t need an adaptable portafilter or group head to get a great tasting cup of espresso when you brew your favorite pods. |

Convenient Controls |

The X1 Trio gives you several brewing options, with 3 cup icons on the brew group to indicate an espresso lungo, standard espresso, or ristretto. Just lock the portafilter into the brew group and line it up with your preferred drink option. When you flip the brew switch, the Trio will adjust the pressure to make the drink you’ve chosen. With stylish stainless steel switches for power, brewing and steaming, along with indicator lights and a sleek temperature dial in the center, the X1 has a unique control panel that’s easy to use. |

Powerful Steam |
|
Thanks to the X1 Trio’s powerful, fast-heating boiler, you can make cappuccinos, lattes and more with plenty of hot, dry steam. The Trio will heat up to steam temperature when you flip the steam switch on the right side of the control panel. The built-in steam wand makes frothing easy, with a small hole on the side to pull in air as you froth. This makes it easy to disperse the air evenly through the milk, creating great foam for cappuccinos or steamed milk for lattes with very little effort. The stainless steel steam wand is multi-directional, and can accommodate 12 or 20 oz frothing pitchers. |

Automatic Refill Boiler |

A benefit not found on all home semi-automatic machines is the X1’s automatic refill boiler. This protective feature ensures that as long as there’s water in the reservoir, your boiler won’t run dry. And, since temperature is the key component in espresso brewing, the automatic refill feature adds better heat stability by continually monitoring your boiler’s water level and filling it when needed. The boiler is made of high-grade brass, which will also increase temperature stability. |

Hot Water Dispenser |

The FrancisFrancis! X1 Trio can make all of your favorite hot drinks, from espresso to cappuccino to tea and hot chocolate. To get hot water with the X1 Trio, just flip the brewing switch and turn the steam knob on the right side of the machine when it is at brewing temperature. The Trio will deliver piping hot water from the steam wand. |

18 Bar Pump |

To create the best tasting espresso drinks, the X1 features a powerful 18 bar pump. The heavy duty pump system regulates water pressure to create espresso lungos, standard espresso or ristrettos perfectly. When you set the portafilter to the drink of your choice, the pump system manages the pressure automatically to deliver the right extraction. |

Cup Warmer |
|
The Trio’s sleek, curved design is complemented by it stainless steel accents. The top panel of the machine has plenty of space, and it features polished stainless steel rails to secure all of your demitasse, cappuccino or latte cups. The cup warmer uses residual heat from the internal brewing components to preheat your cups, so they’re always ready when you want to brew. |

Removable Water Reservoir and Drip Tray |

The Trio’s 48 oz water reservoir slides out of the machine for quick refills and cleaning, but you can refill the reservoir during operation as well. The drip tray is also removable for routine emptying and cleaning. Constructed of durable plastic with a chic chrome drawer knob on the front, the drip tray slides out easily. The polished stainless steel grate on top also comes off for cleaning. |
