A perfect combination of simplicity and sheer power, the Gaggia Syncrony Logic is a must-have super auto. With its stainless steel-lined brewing boiler and separate steaming boiler, the Logic is always ready to brew or steam, making it perfect for those who like to entertain, or for those with plain-old busy households. In addition, the Logic’s brew group is the same one found in the Gaggia Titanium, featuring stainless steel screens and the beefy power normally found in higher-end machines.

But surrounding all of this power is a super-simple control panel and additional controls that make using the Logic – and getting exactly what you want from it – extremely easy. A dial on the front of this Gaggia espresso maker allows you to select the liquid volume of coffee you’d like to brew from 1oz to 8oz per brewing cycle. Just make your selection, press a button, and watch the Logic go from grinding whole beans that were held in its 12oz bean hopper to dispensing the crema-laden shot into your cup. Or if you’d prefer, you can simply add up to 9 grams of preground coffee to the Logic’s bypass doser and brew away.

To further customize your brew, 2 knobs in the bean hopper allow you to set the amount of ground coffee that’s used per brewing cycle from 6 to 9 grams and choose between 18 grind settings, so making everything from a café crema to a ristretto is just a moment away. If you want to top off your coffee with steamed or frothed milk, there’s no waiting. After you’ve put your full pitcher under the steam wand, turn the steam knob, and in seconds steam will be dispensed, thanks to the Rapid Steam system. And with the included Panarello wand, that mountainous froth you desire is easier than ever to achieve.

The Syncrony Logic features 2 boilers to provide the patented Rapid-Steam® system, so there is almost no wait time to get ample steaming ability for building a first rate cappuccino or latte beverage. Where non- Rapid-Steam® super autos leave you waiting 45 seconds or longer for the steam pressure to build up, the Logic has you ready to go in 10 seconds or less. It delivers ample, long running steam for building multiple drinks. The Syncrony Logic also provides instant hot water through the steam wand at the press of a button and the turn of a knob for making other hot beverages, including tea, hot chocolate, and Americanos.
This special feature allows the user to by-pass the coffee grinder and dump pre-ground coffee into the machine. This is great if you wish to use a coffee that differs from the beans already in the machine. For example, if there is someone in the crowd who wants a decaffeinated espresso but there are only caffeinated espresso beans in the machine, simply pour pre-ground decaffeinated coffee into a special funnel and the machine will do the rest! After brewing the pre-ground coffee the machine will reset itself to use the beans in the machine. You can use any type of pre-ground coffee for this procedure.
The control panel is laid out to be simple and easy to use. It has three buttons and a dial. The top button starts the brewing cycle using whole beans from the machine’s internal hopper, while the middle button starts the brewing cycle using preground coffee you’ve added to the bypass doser. Push the third button to dispense hot water from the steam wand.
The dial located to the left of the buttons is for adjusting the volume of water the machine will use for each brewing cycle. Turn the dial clockwise to increase the volume for larger cups of espresso/coffee, turn it counter-clockwise to decrease the volume. Once you find the brew volume you like, every time you press the brew button or the bypass button, the machine will deliver the exact preset volume of liquid. The steam control knob (not shown) located on the right side of the machine releases steam for preparing lattes or cappuccinos at any time while the machine is powered up and at operating temperature.
The two-step pre-infusion cycle moistens and conditions the ground coffee, which maximizes flavor extraction to increase the thick crema on your espresso. The Syncrony Logic accomplishes this by infusing (or presoaking) the fresh coffee grounds with a dash of hot water for 2 seconds. Thereafter, it completes the brewing process by infusing the remainder of the predetermined water through the coffee grounds. The result is a superior cup of espresso or coffee.
This allows you to choose from 6 to 9 grams for each of the three coffee amount presets. This allows you to determine the strength of the coffee despite the size of the cup for any kind of coffee - from small to large cups.
The Panarello frothing wand has a state-of-the-art design that gives even the beginning barista the ability to add a rich and creamy froth to drinks.
This machine is not only capable of brewing espresso, but it can also produce a popular drink called cafe crème (also known as crema coffee). This coffee is brewed in the same manner as espresso. However, where espresso is brewed relatively slow (about 15-20 seconds for 1.5 ounces), cafe crème is brewed at a faster rate. Espresso brews slower because the coffee grounds are required to be very fine which restricts the water flow through the grounds. This helps give espresso its intense flavor and strength.
Simply make a small adjustment to the coffee grinder to make the coffee grounds coarser. This in turn will allow the water to flow more freely through the coffee grounds as required for cafe crème. The result is a wonderfully aromatic and flavor-rich coffee that is smooth and not as intense as espresso, and it will be topped with a layer of crema. Many of our customers are enjoying the use of their machine for this purpose in addition to espresso. Cafe crème is a good replacement for most coffee makers (like a drip coffee maker), because in about 35 seconds, the machine will brew about 5 ounces of fresh pressure-brewed coffee without the mess. Another benefit is that this brewing method requires far less ground coffee per serving thus saving you money! Many refer to cafe crème as Swiss brewed coffee as it is very popular among Swiss consumers.
A professional quality conical type burr grinder is built-in. When the brew button is pushed, the grinder automatically begins grinding the exact amount of coffee beans based on the amount of coffee the machine is going to brew.
Conical burr grinding mechanisms are heavy duty and are usually found on more expensive coffee grinders. It consists of a cone shaped grinding wheel that turns slowly to precisely grind the beans consistently without burning them (common on low cost burr grinders).
The built-in coffee bean hopper holds nearly 1 pound of coffee beans. The hopper has a lid to help keep the coffee beans fresh.
Small 2 oz. espresso cups up to large coffee cups can easily fit under the adjustable coffee-dispensing nozzle. It moves up or down to accept many cup sizes and can be moved during the brewing process.
The internal dump box catches all of the spent coffee grounds left over from the brewing process. Its large capacity will hold up to 24 spent coffee portions. It easily slides out of the left side of the machine for disposal and easy cleaning.
The Gaggia Syncrony Logic makes it easy to refill the water tank by allowing you to add water while it's still on the machine or by removing it and filling it at the water tap. The tank has an easy grip handle making removal easy. Clear tinted ABS plastic gives you an indication of the amount of water remaining.
A convenient cup-stacking surface is located on top of the machine and is surrounded by a metal cup rail. Keeping your espresso cups warm is essential for excellent espresso!
The bottom of the machine is equipped with a swivel base that allows you to turn the machine for easy access to the sides and back. This makes cleaning and service easier.
The Syncrony Logic comes with a grinder cleaning brush, 7 gram coffee scoop, and detailed instruction manual.
