With a stainless steel boiler providing Rapid Steam functions, you can set your preferred pre-infusion, dosage, coffee temperature, volume, and more. The Gaggia Platinum Swing uses a touch-ring click wheel that allows you to scroll through options, paired with a digital LCD screen that displays your brewing and cleaning options. To foam and steam milk, you can use the Pannarello frothing wand attachment, or the Gaggia Milk Island (not included) to foam and steam milk automatically. At the center of the click wheel is a large button with a coffee icon – this is the confirmation button. Use the click wheel, LCD screen, and confirmation button to set the volume of your drink, coffee dosage, coffee temperature, and pre-infusion, language, water hardness, energy-saving mode, rinse cycle, water filter menu, descaling menu, and automatic brew group wash. |

Brewing |

To brew, use the click wheel to view your drink options of coffee, long coffee, espresso, or short espresso. Press the confirmation button once if you want a single, or twice for a double. |

Rapid Steam Boiler System |
|
The stainless steel boiler assures Rapid Steam function, so you can switch back and forth between brewing and steaming without any lengthy downtime. At the same time, the pump produces a maximum of 15 bars of pressure – more than enough to extract a great shot of espresso. Between these two commercial-quality functions, each espresso is brewed at the correct temperature and pressure. |

Ceramic Burr Grinder |
|
The bean hopper holds 8.8 oz of whole beans before they are ground in the ceramic burr grinder. The flat burrs crush beans evenly, consistently, and quietly, so the whole house doesn’t know each time you decide you want a drink. Every time you brew a shot, the grinder grinds the correct amount of beans and brews them, ensuring your coffee is always fresh. The grinder has 3 adjustable fineness settings – coarse, medium, or fine. |

Bypass Doser |
|
The bypass doser is convenient for when you have guests over, or if you’re in the mood for something different. Add ground coffee to the bypass doser, and you can brew a shot at a time using the ground coffee rather than the whole beans in the hopper. |

Opti-Dose System |
|
The exclusive Gaggia Opti-Dose system allows you to adjust the amount of coffee per cup from 7 to 10.5 grams. Change this dosage by pressing the coffee button, then using the touch-wheel control ring to scroll through different options. |

Espresso Plus System |
|
The Espresso Plus System is another feature exclusive to Gaggia machines. It consists of a knob located on the coffee dispenser that allows you to change the intensity of your beverage, even while you brew. Turn it to the left for a milder drink, or to the right for stronger drink. |

Stainless Steel Passive Cup Warmer |
|
Residual heat from the Rapid Steam boiler heats the stainless steel cup warmer. Store your cups here so they are warm for your next drink, and to create a stylish display. |

Adjustable Drip Tray and Cover |
|
Your cups rest on a drip tray, which keeps your countertops clean by catching any drips or spills. You can adjust the height of the drip tray from 3” to 4.5”, and the machine will alert you when the drip tray needs to be emptied and cleaned. |

Pannarello Frothing Wand |
|
The Pannarello frothing wand allows you to foam and steam milk with ease for cappuccinos, lattes, steamers, hot cocoa, and more. Press the steam button and open the steam knob to release steam from the wand. The display will read “Brewing Steam,” and when you’re done, close the knob and press the steam button again. |

Hot Water Dispenser |
|
The steam wand also functions as a hot water dispenser. Press the hot water button and open the steam knob to release hot water for tea, an americano, or hot cider. When you have your desired amount of water, close the steam knob. |

Gaggia Milk Island (not included) |
|
The Gaggia Milk Island connects directly to the Gaggia Platinum Swing’s steam system, foaming and teaming milk automatically. Attach the Gaggia Milk Island to your machine, and open the steam knob to the “Milk Island” position for textured milk. The Milk Island is easy to clean and holds 13.5 oz of milk. |

Water Reservoir with Aqua Prima Water Filter System |

The 57 oz water reservoir can be removed for easy cleaning and refilling. It comes with an Aqua Prima water filter, which removes impurities from your tap water. This means that your coffee always tastes its best, and you don’t have to descale as frequently. |
