The Krups XP9000 Super Automatic Espresso Machine lets you conquer the morning in style, offering serious espresso making power in a refined, elegant package. This automatic coffee center lets you create lattes, cappuccinos, espresso, macchiatos, and other café-style drinks with ease thanks to its unique integrated steam wand located right by the coffee spout. A built-in adjustable conical burr grinder, 15-bar pump, and large 11oz bean hopper will take care of the grinding and tamping for you, reducing the mess you might encounter with other machines.

The Krups XP9000 also features a thermoblock boiler, programmable brewing buttons, and an easy to read digital display, all housed in durable stainless steel. Notifications on the digital display will aid in maintaining the machine and will alert you when you need to clean the steam nozzle, run a rinse cycle, clean the frothing system, or descale. Plus, to keep your espresso tasting at its best, the XP9000 comes with a water filter that fits right in the whopping 88oz water reservoir.

The Krups XP9000 takes care of it all—grinding whole beans, tamping, and brewing espresso right into your waiting cup. To froth, you just need to lower the steam wand into your cup underneath the brewing spout and press the steaming button of your choice- manual, cappuccino, or caffe latte. Programming your beverage settings, maintenance, and brewing are made easy by the digital display on the front of the machine.
On the top of the machine, you can lift the top right panel to reveal a programming keypad. Using these keys and the XP9000’s digital display, you can program a variety of settings including coffee temperature, strength, and volume, as well as milk steaming and frothing times. You can also adjust the display language and set automatic on and off times for the machine.
In addition to guiding you through programming the brewing buttons, the digital display will keep you updated about your machine’s various functions. It will let you know when your frothing wand needs to be rinsed, when to rinse the brewing components, and when it’s time to descale the your machine. The display will also notify you if the brew group is out of place and when the water filter needs to be changed.
Make delicious cappuccinos and lattes in moments with the XP9000’s integrated steam wand. Unlike most machines that have the steam wand located on one side, the Krups XP9000’s steam wand is located right by the brewing spout so you can steam and brew without having to move your cup. Just pour the desired amount of milk into your cup and lower the steam wand in. This two-position wand can both froth (down position) and steam (up position) for a pre-set amount of time that you can program using the keypad and digital display.
The XP9000 has 8 programmable buttons on the front of the machine for a variety of beverages. Each features an icon for easy identification, and from left to right they are: single espresso, double espresso, small coffee, large coffee, hot water, steam, cappuccino, and caffe latte. You can program the liquid volume for each of the coffee buttons, as well as 3 levels of coffee strength. You can also program the length of steaming from 1-90 seconds.
The automatic cappuccino and latte buttons make it easy to create delicious drinks with little fuss. This is an especially convenient feature when entertaining, keeping your time in the kitchen to a minimum. Just choose the automatic button you want, add your desired amount of milk to you cup, and place underneath the spout. Then, lower the frothing wand and the machine will do the rest, including frothing, grinding, tamping, and brewing right into your cup. In just a few moments, you’ll have a complete drink.
You can also choose to froth and steam by hand using the manual steam button. Just place your cup with milk underneath the steam wand and lower it into the cup. Keep the wand in the up position if you want to steam, or place it in the down position to froth. This way, you can accommodate your guests’ specific tastes, or mix things up a bit for your morning cappuccino.
Great espresso depends on a fine, even grind. The Krups XP9000 comes with a built-in conical burr grinder with 5 different settings to meet the needs of a variety of coffee roasts and blends. You can adjust the setting by turning the knob in the 11oz bean hopper.
Sometimes you want to enjoy a kind of coffee other than what’s in your bean hopper. This may be a decaf coffee in the evening, or perhaps a pre-ground coffee one of your dinner guests has brought over for everyone to enjoy. The Krups XP9000 comes with a bypass doser for such an occasion. Just lift the top right panel of the machine and pour 1 or 2 scoops of ground coffee down the bypass doser. Then, you can brew normally.
The XP9000 can dispense hot water for tea, hot chocolate, or instant soups right from the steam wand. The hot water button is programmable and can dispense up to 10oz at a time. Just place your cup underneath the spout and press the button to dispense.
On the Krups XP9000, all the housing you see is stainless steel. The water reservoir and dump box are hidden behind top and side panels that are easy to open. There are also panels on the top of the machine under which you’ll find the keypad, bypass doser, and a storage area for cups. A panel on the back of the machine also opens to reveal a storage area for the user manual.
It’s easy to access this Krups super automatic espresso machine’s brew group through a panel on the right side of the machine. Just open the panel and press the button to release the brew group. This then allows you to give it a quick rinse to remove residue and keep your espresso tasting fresh.
To access the dump box and drip tray of the Krups XP9000, just swing open the front panel of the machine. Then, both of these components can be slid out, cleaned with a non-abrasive detergent, rinsed, dried, and returned to their rightful place. Regularly dumping and cleaning these components will ensure your machine continues to run well and your counters will stay clean.
This super automatic machine can automatically run a hot rinse cycle before shutting down to make sure that coffee reside doesn’t build up in the brewing components. The XP9000 can also remind you to clean the frothing wand, run a deep cleaning cycle, and descale the machine to remove hard water build up and other mineral deposits.
