High Pressure Pump and Thermoblock Heating Element |

For perfect extraction and a thick layer of golden crema, your espresso needs to be brewed at the proper temperature and pressure. The Thermoblock heating element brings water to brewing temperature, while the 19 bar pump provides the necessary pressure. |

Nespresso Capsule System |

If you’re ready for espresso without the fuss, the Nespresso capsule system makes brewing espresso delicious and easy every time. Each Nespresso capsule is hermetically sealed for freshness and contains a single serving of ground and tamped espresso. The espresso you produce will be consistently high quality and delicious, and there are a dozen different blends available to choose from. Please note that Nespresso machines brew Nespresso capsules exclusively, and are not compatible with K-cups, E.S.E. pods, or ground coffee. |

Hot Water Dispenser |

If you would like hot water, simply press the brew button when no capsule is inserted. Water heated to brew temperature will flow out of the coffee dispensing spout. This convenient feature allows you to make an americano, a great alternative to drip coffee. |

Cleaning |
|
Using Nespresso capsules cuts down on the mess, since each individually sealed capsule prevents spilling and dripping. After you brew, the capsules collect in an internal drawer, which holds about 14 or 15 capsules and is easy to remove and rinse. The D185's housing can be wiped down with a damp cloth to keep it looking its best. |
