Features
The most important thing to know about the Pasquini Livietta T2 Espresso Machine is that it is a machine of true commercial strength and quality. Pasquini has been manufacturing commercial machines for decades, so this machine has many features normally associated exclusively with commercial espresso machines. These features combine for superior performance: it is housed in stainless steel, uses a 15 bar pump, has 2 thermoblocks so you can brew and steam simultaneously, brews on a chrome-plated marine brass brew group, and releases pressure using a 3-way solenoid valve.
You’ll feel like a professional in no time using the Livietta’s simple, straightforward controls to brew drinks like an espresso, macchiato, latte, cappuccino, or americano. Its compact size means that it fits easily under counter tops, and the stainless steel housing is easy to clean while looking superb in different environments.
Quick Heat Up Time and Heat Retention - The dual thermoblock heating system results in rapid heat up time for brewing and steaming. It takes only 2 minutes for the machine to reach brewing temperature, and only 4 minutes to reach steaming temperature. For ideal heat retention, both the brew group head and portafilter are made of chrome-plated marine brass.
Controls - With only 3 clearly labeled switches, the Pasquini Livietta T2 is simple to operate. 1 switch controls power, 1 controls brewing, and the third controls steaming. The controls are located on the front of the machine.
Dual Thermoblock Boiler System - The dual thermoblock system means you can brew and steam at the same time, so there’s no wait time between them while the boiler heats up. This feature is great if you’re entertaining, or even if you just want to save a little time in the morning.
3-Way Solenoid Valve - The 3-way solenoid valve is built in to the Pasquini Livietta, and relieves the water pressure at the end of the brewing cycle. This decreases the excess water in the group head, resulting in a drier espresso puck, and cutting down on dripping or spattering when you remove the portafilter.
Cup Warmer - The passive cup warmer is located on top of the machine and is heated using residual heat from the dual thermoblock heating system. It’s a great place to store and display up to 10 demitasse cups, keeping them warm and ready for brewing.
Steam Wand - You can froth and steam at the same time, thanks to the powerful pump and heating system. The steam wand is stainless steel, and to operate it, simply press the steam button. Now you can foam and steam milk for a hot cocoa, cappuccino, macchiato, latte, or steamer.
Hot Water - The Pasquini Livietta T2 does not have an automatic hot water dispenser, but you can produce hot water for an americano by pulling what is known as a “blank shot.” This means that you set the machine to brew as normal, but without coffee in the portafilter. Hot water will then dispense from the group head.
Backflushing - Backflushing is a process that cleans your machine’s shower screen, brew group, and 3-way solenoid valve. The Pasquini Livietta T2 should be back flushed every few weeks to keep your coffee tasting great, and to keep your machine functioning at its best. It even comes with a cleaning brush, rubber backflush disc and cleaning solution.
Water Reservoir - The 57 oz water reservoir is located in the back of the machine, and is removable for easy filling and cleaning. You can also lift up the stainless steel lid in the back of the machine and refill it in place – even while the machine is brewing!
Drip Tray and Grate - Your cups rest on the sturdy stainless steel drip tray grate, which can be removed for easy cleaning. The plastic drip tray catches spills, and should be cleaned regularly. The drip tray and grate prevent drips and spills from reaching your countertop.
