Click Wheel Control |

The click wheel on the Talea Ring Plus is a modern approach to a menu system for an espresso machine. Use your finger to scroll through the Talea’s many brewing combinations and options. The menu options are clearly displayed on the LCD screen, and pressing the coffee cup icon at the center of the Ring begins the brewing cycle. If you are unfamiliar with using a click wheel, such as the kind found on Apple iPods, the user’s manual clearly illustrates how to access each menu and programming option. |

Customized Coffee |

Once you access the programming menu of the click wheel controls, you’ll discover you can program all of the variables in making your espresso, including the coffee size, strength, temperature and even pre-infusion time. The Talea Ring can save these settings for you so that once your preferences are set, you can brew your favorite drink with the touch of a single button. |

SBS Brewing System |
|
With the Saeco Brewing System (SBS), you can make a variety of coffee drinks by just turning the dial on the front of the Talea Ring Plus. The SBS dial adjusts the strength and extraction for each cup brewed, putting you in full control. |

Milk Island |
|
The Milk Island is a clearly unique feature to Saeco’s Talea line. This ingenious invention is connected directly to the machine and sits off to the left side. To use it, just place the milk carafe on the island, and then turn the frothing knob to start the steaming and frothing. When the automatic cycle completes, the milk is steamed and ready for your latte or cappuccino.
One distinct advantage of Talea Ring Plus’s Milk Island is that you can remove the milk carafe from the island and store it in your refrigerator. The milk stays covered, cold, and protected. And since Milk Island is its own unit, you’ll notice that cleaning it is far simpler than other super automatics with an integrated milk container: the carafe is dishwasher safe, and the Milk Island can be cleaned with soap and water. |

Rapid Steam |

The Talea Ring Plus has a double boiler system so there’s minimal waiting between brewing coffee and producing steam. Saeco’s Rapid Steam technology ensures speedy and continuous steam pressure for frothing milk within seconds. Steam Wand and Hot Water |

The external steam/hot water wand conveniently dispenses hot water for your tea, Americanos, and hot chocolate. And if you prefer to manually froth your own milk rather than using the Milk Island, use the steam wand for individualized frothing. |

Touch Lift Drip Tray |

The motorized drip tray moves up and down at the touch of your fingertip to fit virtually any height cup. The drip tray can easily be removed for cleaning. |

Quiet, Ceramic Burr Grinder |
|
The ceramic burr grinder is one of the quietest of the super automatics. It grinds consistently for reliable espresso extraction. Use the provided grinder adjustment key to set the grinder to coarse, medium, or fine. This safe, quiet grinder shuts off automatically so that it won’t run without any beans in the hopper. |

Bypass Doser |

Located next to the bean hopper, the bypass doser gives you the freedom to brew coffee other than what’s in the hopper. Use the bypass doser for pre-ground coffee of your choice, such as decaf or trying a sample of a new pre-ground blend. |

Cup Warmer |

The active cup warmer on top of the Talea Ring Plus holds up to 6 espresso cups. The cup warmer can be disabled via the control panel if desired. |

Removable Brew Group |

You can easily remove the entire brew group of the Saeco Talea Ring Plus by pressing the quick-release handle. A unique feature in super automatics, the removable brew group makes cleaning and maintenance a snap. |

Removable Water Reservoir |

Cleaning and refilling the water reservoir for the Talea Ring Plus is made simple with the removable reservoir. Its large size (57 oz) means you will have lots of time between refills. The reservoir fits right into the side paneling of the machine, so there’s no unsightly external unit behind the machine. |

Aqua Prima Water Filter |
|
Saeco knows quality, which is why they included the Aqua Prima water filter in the Talea Ring Plus. This high quality filter not only removes any unpleasant tastes from your tap water, but it also removes chlorine and also helps reduce any scale build-up in your machine. The LCD panel reminds you when it is time for replacing the Aqua Prima water filter, and can even tell you how much water remains until you will need to replace the filter. |

Easy Descaling |

As with any high quality espresso machine, you will need to descale the Talea Ring Plus approximately every 3-4 months. Descaling ensures fresh-tasting coffee and protects the investment you made in the Talea. The display takes you through the descaling cycle step by step, and you’re back to brewing in no time. The Talea Ring Plus will alert you when it is time for a descaling cycle. Or if you prefer to check the machine’s condition yourself, you can go to the descaling menu and find out how much water can be used before it is time to descale. |
