On/Off Switch |
The On/Off switch is located on the base of the machine. This switch begins the brewing process. Using a red indicator light, the switch also alerts you when the machine is turned on and brewing. |
Hot Plate Control |
Control the temperature of your brewed coffee with ease! The hot plate control switch (located next to the On/Off switch) allows you to choose either the extra hot setting for full pots or hot setting for smaller pots. An indicator light will illuminate on the switch when in the extra hot setting. |
Brewing Control |
Located on the filter holder, this switch allows you to select the size of the pot you want to brew. Brew a full pot when the switch is in the up position, a small pot when the switch is in the center position, or pause brewing when the switch is in the down position. This switch controls how much and how quickly water is able to flow through the dispensing hole on the bottom of the filter holder. The Technivorm also features an indicator light that alerts you when the machine needs to be descaled. |

Performance |
Brewing a full pot or less is quick, simple, and always enjoyable with the Clubline KB 741. Virtually eliminate your chance of getting a bitter cup of coffee: brewing with water that is heated to the correct temperature ensures that the flavor nuances of your coffee are preserved. The Technivorm, which brews a full pot in about 7 minutes, is also one of the quietest brewing drip-coffee machines available today. |
Mixinglid Carafe |
Attached to the Clubline KB 741's lid is a black plastic tube that runs to the bottom of the 10-cup glass carafe. Brewed coffee enters at the bottom of the carafe rather than the top, automatically mixing it with previously brewed coffee. The result is an evenly flavored brew. Rather than having water level markings on the carafe, the markings are located on the front of the reservoir. |
Reservoir |
Mounted on the top of the machine rather than the back is the reservoir. At the start of the brewing process, water flows down through the metal drain in the rear of the reservoir and then starts to heat below. A plastic tube in the center of the reservoir channels heated water up to the spray head for dispersion over the coffee grounds. During the brewing process, you can see the heated water bubbles make their way up the tube. |
Water Filtration |
The Technivorm Clubline KB 741 has no water filtration system. We recommend using pre-filtered water. |
Construction |
The Clubline KB 741 is constructed of no-scratch, polished silver aluminum with shiny black plastic accents. The reservoir is constructed of clear plastic with a small metal grate at the bottom that allows water to drain into the central heating unit. |
