I researched a burr grinder, not satisfied with a blade grinder because of uneven grinding and the risk for burning the beans from the heat of the blades. I didn't want to spend a small fortune on a machine but I also didn't want a piece of garbage that would give me trouble. I've had this grinder for a little over a year and have been happy with it. At first it wouldn't grind on the espresso setting. After several tries it starting working and hasn't been a problem since. On the fine setting it grinds plenty for a double espresso in 12 to 15 seconds. On a coarse setting it grinds plenty for a full pot of coffee within 15 seconds.
