I bought a great espresso machine last year and spent all the saved money I had on it since I bought the best. Of course, 2 weeks after it arrived, my long time high quality burr grinder died of old age. I started at the bottom of the price list but couldn't find what I wanted. I have had this grinder for over a year. As other reviewers have commented, it does not do well for coarse ground coffee. It won't even go all the way to the most coarse setting. IMO it works best for espresso.
If the bean is roasted to FC, right before second crack or no more than 5 seconds into second crack, the grinder works pretty well. Most of the grind gets into the portafilter. However, ... read more
